Okay, okay, I’ll watch Amelie 😌 I’ve heard people rave about it but never give a synopsis. NOW I know I would, indeed, enjoy it. So, thank you for my next movie night!

Oh my gosh, same time in life for me with Amelie too. I used to watch it every night thinking that the French would go to my brain and I would learn it so fast. It brought me so much comfort. 7 years later I finally made it to France on a study abroad!

I semi-recently watched Ever After for the first time in forever and ever. Talk about being instantly transported to a different time; I was early teens and mid-thirties all at the same time. I realized where some things I’ve just always known came from. I was very happy to see that it holds up as a very good movie still.

Amy! I had the exact same experience in high school with Amélie. What a joy. I saw a screening of it a few months ago and hadn’t realized how much of my personal style grew out of the Amélie aesthetic until I could see it with some hindsight. Love!
